Didn't get what I ordered, and what I did get sucked
IanThomas✓ Verified Purchase•March 24, 2017
When I got it...it was not what I ordered...it didn't even have the wolf on it. However, I decided to give a try anyway, rather than send it back, despite the fact that I bought it for the wolf design. Then the first time I take it to shoot with it...I find that it is not a straight pool stick. Had to put it away and shoot with the bar sticks. What I got is not even worth the money as a beginner pool stick to shoot with a few times. I will be returning what I received. I gave it the one star for the case.
You get what you pay for...

Bought two of these on a Black Friday sale for home use, and I'm not that knowledgeable about or good at pool. These have since become my primary sticks. Returned one because the apparent weight in the top half was shaking inside and had some nicks. Then I dropped one on accident, so I still have one with a shake weight inside. But again, not a pro and serves me and my family fine. These sticks do look beautiful, and roll pretty flat on the table. Comes with a handsome case...but is also not very durable - they are permanently stored in a box in the garage. I don't imagine the cases would survive very well during frequent use and traveling, which I don't intend to do with them.
Decent for what it is

I got three different cues for my two sons (ages 13 and 11) and I, the idea being that if my 11 year old would have his own cue he would be more willing to play. It worked, he chose the sword while my eldest and I took the dragons. While we all enjoy the game, none of us are hotshots.
These are clearly not advanced sets, though they present really well, the packaging for all three were identical, the cues wrapped in plastic inside the cases inside of shipping boxes. The tips for all three that we received ARE screw-ins. There were absolutely no cosmetic blemishes on any of the cues or cases. The cases are wood or pressed-board, with liners and some sort of padding under the liners. There are small hard-foam inserts on both ends in the case to keep the tips and parts of the cue from sliding around inside the case, as well as some braces in the middle to keep the halves apart. It is apparent which half goes on which side.
I honestly don't know what makes a 'great' cue. I've kept the cue in the case in my trunk and we've have several freeze-thaws in the two months since we've owned them, and there is no 'wobble' when I roll it across a table to see if it's warped yet. If there was a wobble I would have dropped it to four stars.
I paid the regular Amazon price for each cue/case and received no inducements one way or the other for this review.

I bought the Rose cue for XMAX gift for my wifie. I open it to check to make sure it was in good shape. Very good looking cue stick. My wifie will love this stick. We have lot cues. The rose fills good to hold to.

My wife 1st time pulling the plastic rap of the stick to use and play on the pool table and found. The cue has some chips in it. Man she was not happy. You could not see until the rap was pull off.

I was disappointed that the sprayed on hand wrap began peeling away ...

Bought this cue in June and have had no major problems. I was disappointed that the sprayed on hand wrap began peeling away after a month of steady play, and that the tip was not place on properly resulting in a small piece breaking off which at times results in minor miscues. However there were no warps and the stick has served me well since its purchase. Great beginner stick, breaks really good, will give a fair amount of spin if that's your intent when shooting.
