This watch fits larger wrists just fine! It cooks beautiful and classy on my massive 8"+ wrist!
Owned this watch for 4 years now. I am a watch nerd and collector and I appreciate this watch just as much as the ones that cost 10x as much that sit right next to it on my shelf. Spends weeks at a time in my watch case getting very dim light and it has barely lost any time and stays charged with only rare sunlight. Fantastic technology.

4 stars for price, depending on what you've paid. I think it is a little pricey for what you're getting. It should absolutely have a sapphire crystal and not mineral at that price point. At $250ish you are looking at getting into some entry level nicer watches from micro brands or a grey site like Jomashop.com

I ordered a watch I thought was similar to the one that quit working. It was way larger than my old one. I ordered this watch and it fits my skinny wrist way better.

This is one of the most beautiful watches I have ever seen. It has a classic style and looks great. I highly recommend it!

UPDATE (5/23/2019): I've owned this watch for more than 10 years now. I'm pleased to report that it still looks and runs great!

UPDATE (12/6/09): I noticed most reviews are made almost immediately after the purchase and before one has had some solid experience to report, so I thought I'd provide an update. I've had this watch for almost a year and I am still extremely happy with it. The BM6550-58E continues to keep good time and holds up well. I usually wear it several times a week, but also left it for a week or more without recharging with no noticeable effects.

My wife purchased an Eco-Drive lady's watch in the same timeframe and is also quite happy with it.

This review is for the BM6550-58E. I was looking for a stylish watch with stainless steel case and band that does not require battery changes. The watch is a simple analog dial with second hand and a date window. The hour and minute hands glow in the dark. As you'd expect, the time and date are set by the watch crown.

I purchased this watch specifically because of the Eco Drive feature. I wanted to have a timepiece that I could wear day to day without worrying that it would lose time or stop running because the battery needed to be replaced.

I've owned a Seiko Kinetic for about 10 years and when it started losing its capacity, learned while it needs no batteries, the capacitor which stores the electric charge and powers the watch needed to be replaced. So I thought I'd give Citizen's Eco Drive a try.

I've had this watch for about a month now, and so far so good. I wear it daily, and it seems to get sufficient charge from normal use (indoor office on weekdays, some outdoor sun on weekends). It's only gained a few seconds (by atomic clock) since I set it a month ago.

My wife just got this for me a few days ago, because it was steeply discounted here. We were both stunned by how good this watch looks. I've only worn it to work a couple times and frequently get compliments on it. And of course, it's got that super accurate movement Citizen is famous for, and the Eco-Drive is an added bonus -- a solar powered watch! Who wouldn't want that?

I adjusted the band myself to get a nice, snug fit. It only took a few minutes, pretty much intuitive. Look for the arrows on the back of the band and use a paper clip and something to tap it with to push out the pins holding the links together, remove a few, and tap a pin back in.
