The carving chisels are a good size, and I like the octagon handle. It's comfortable in my hand and the steel (business) end seems like quality steel. I didn't like the cheap heavy lacquer finish on the handle nor the drips comming down the ferrule. I didn't like the sharpening job Three Cherries did either. They "rough" ground the carving tools then put them on a heavy buffer to conceal their inferior workmanship. When I redid the skew chisel carver at 15 degree slant I noticed they had actually sharpened both sided to a different degree of tilt! The curved cutters are no better. The sharpening was very rough and jagged. I spent the first two hours trying to resharpen and correct their rough work before I could tackle the honing process. Once they were fixed and honed I found them a pleasure to use until the cheap decal started falling off. These could be quality tools with a little more care in materials and workmanship. but right now they don't deserve their reputation for good tools nor should they command such a high price.
