Works good, but not accurate.

I like the way this dado saw is inherently well balanced in the saw due to the "full diameter" chippers. This does make life easier with not having to deal with a lot of saw vibration. However, the width of the cuts isn't really very accurate, and shims are required to get the desired width. The problem with this is that the shims get hung up in the threads of the spindle, which makes getting the saw tight on the spindle an arduous task. The same goes for removing the dado blades from the spindle. Putting this thing on and off the saw is a very large time commitment, so not sure I'll be using this very long.
Impressed so far

Ignore the comments about the packaging, The set I just received could not be packaged more carefully. It comes in a nicely made aluminum and plastic case with a handle and latch, Inside, the chippers are nested in high-density foam cut to their exact shape, except for a slot to get your finger in, and foam leaves, also cut to their shape, sandwiched in between. Another high-density foam insert lays on top of the chipper insert to allow for the larger outside blades, which are also separated by foam leaves. Perched on top are clear directions with excellent safety advice (e.g. leave the outside flange off on large widths if you are not showing at least three arbor threads after tightening) and a ziplock bag of laser etched shims that would make a gap gauge jealous. My arbor is plenty long to handle the full set.
I inspected all of the blades and found everything in order: no chipped carbide, no bad brazing, no signs of use. Despite the lack of awful smelling machine oil that usually coats new steel bits and blades, everything was clean and rust-free.
I built a finger (box) joint jig and was able to dial in a perfect fit for one-by stock with three of the included shims. I learned the hard way how sharp the carbide tips are when I tried to adjust one of the chippers and pushed a tip right through my thumb nail. With 42 tips on the blades, you have to be careful not to stack chipper tips against them. Balancing the chippers is a breeze with six tips each. The cuts are smooth as a baby's butt and the anti-tear-out bat ears are imperceptible.
Because of the six-tip chippers, this is a heavy set. My cheapo Delta floor table saw gives out a screech when it starts up but it cuts red oak with ease. Despite the anti-kickback angles of the blade tips, it still kicks back if you try to rip too deep. I thought, "if it can cut a 3/4" box cut through oak with ease, why not a 3/4" deep rabbet. Fearing for my life after two tentative pushes, I dialed down the depth and the rabbet came out perfect in two passes, leaving only a 1/16 strip intact

Excellent dado set for the money

I own two other dado sets one being a Forest dado king and the other one is a Freud SD608 I am quite disappointed in the Forest set I have the Freud on a radial arm saw just to dado 2x4s for making shop carts. I had read some reviews on the Oshlun one stated that it was a bit tight to get on the arbor I own an older Delta cabinet saw and have no problems. The cuts in my opinion are amazing compared to my other sets and for the price you can't beat it. I especially love the full size chippers makes a world of difference. Thanks so much for a wonderful product.

Oshlun SDS-0842 Dado Blades

Product was shipped and delivered promptly after order was placed.
The blade set I received was in the aluminum case with heavy foam support around perimeter and foam sheets in between all blades. I am a weekend hobby woodworker and never used dado blades before the purchase. These work great for me! All the blades and shims in my set came clearly marked and I found it easy to make slight adjustments and dial in the exact width of cut I needed. I have a 15+ yr old JET JWTS series contractor saw and the blades and shims went on and off my factory 5/8" arbor with no problems. I will say that the shims can be a little tricky as they tend to find their way down into the arbor threads so be careful with that. All the blade teeth were complete and sharp (no nicks or quality issues as some other reviewers have cited). I have used once so far making many dado slots in MDF. The cuts were clean with a smooth, flat bottom. As the manufacturer clearly explains in the included literature the outer blade teeth are angled and slightly deeper intentionally to cut a crisp clean edge and bottom with minimal tearout. The minimal bottom corner groove produced by the outer blade teeth is barely noticeable and not a concern for me. Another positive for me was the full chipper blade design. I was down to this set or the similarly priced set from Freud. I had read a few reviews that indicated the partial chipper blades in the Fred set were not so easy to align and hold in place when installing on the arbor. That was a key factor in my choice of the Oshlun set. I have to say that even with the full chipper blades, aligning multiple blades for wider cuts can be tedious, especially if you need to use a few shims. I am very glad I went with the Oshlun in that regard because I understand now how much more difficult it would likely be with partial blades.
Overall I am 100% happy with my purchase and I highly recommend to anyone considering.

Excellent build quality

Update:
I have now used the dado blade set and I can say without a doubt this is a really quality set of blades. I recently built a new table for my bandsaw and I included T-tracks to increase the versatility. I used the Oshlun dado set to cut T-track slots. The table top has a melamine surface which is highly prone to chipping and tear out but these dado blades sliced right through cleanly and I couldn't be happier with the performance. The blades were super easy to setup and use compared to the set they replaced. From all aspects just a really quality set of dado blades.
Original review:
I haven't had a chance to use these blades yet but I will soon for an upcoming project and when I do I will be back to update this review. In the meantime I can say I am really impressed by the quality of these blades, the craftsmanship seems excellent. I an attest to how sharp the blades are when, even after being very careful, I managed to get a cut but the blades are so sharp I didn't even know I had been cut until latter. The one issue I have with this dado set so far is the case which is really just a box with a plastic handle. To solve this issue I found an inexpensive case that fits the dado set perfectly (see photo). If your interested it can be found here on Amazon.
