I read reviews about this and even though ththrrre were a few things period didn't care for thought it would work fine for a vendor event. Before using it at ever I had stopped at bank and picked up rolls of change and small bills. You HAVE TO lock this box when carrying it anywhere. Thankfully my change was still in rolls. When I was loading car to go to event I picked this up by the handle. Before I made it to the car it simply opened dumping my rolls of change on the ground. No matter how in tried to shut it , if picked up by handle out opened due to the weight of one roll of quarters, nickles, dimes & pennies. Even locked i didn't trust it enough to carry it by handle with out tying a chord around it. That said it did work perfectly as a cash box during the event and i will use it in future. It is roomy enough to hold coins & bills securely while on a flat surface. The locking mechanism just needs to be stronger. Even on a windy day the bills were held securly.

This is exactly what I needed. I have many different functions that I participate in where I'm collecting money, tickets, etc. I needed something to collect these things so I wouldn't lose my mind and be organized. I love this thing. I can collect all sorts of bills, coins, checks, etc. This is heavy duty. You can easily pay double for this in a big box/retail store. In fact, I went to a couple big box stores and did not see anything on this level in stock. And the boxes that were in stock were inferior and had the nerve to be the same price as this, if not more. This is certainly a great deal! Thanks.

I needed a cash box that would separate bills and change. Apparently that's a tall order...
This looked like it would fit my needs, at a little bit heftier price than I had imagined. It works well, except it is a bear to get the lid open. We had to just leave it open or unlatched because it was so tricky.

This is a nice sturdy professional looking money box. If you turn it upside down gravity will un-sort your change for you. I promptly lost the key. Luckily I found it again and all is well with me and the money box.

I like these boxes as they were the only ones I could find that separated the bills and had room for coins. Like others, I was a bit frustrated by the spring holding down the bills, but that was manageable. I have purchased nine of these for workers in our U-pick orchard. Five of them have closures that have failed (the spring has fallen out) and can no longer be closed securely -- when you pick them up by the handle, they open and all the money falls out, so each box has to be held with two hands. That creates a much less secure product!
