I've used this product for years, so I'm really familiar with it. However, I've always bought it in my usual salon. I bought it online this time because I thought it would be easier, and I could get it as soon as I run out, rather than waiting a week or more until my next appointment.

When I received this, I pumped it into my hand, and noticed the usual fragrance was missing. There was a swirl of rust-brown in the gel. So washed my hands and tried again. Same thing. I opened the bottle, and the rust color was swirled all the way down to the bottom, and it had a stale musty smell. I tossed it in the garbage can, and washed my hands again.

At this point, all I can say is I'm extremely disappointed. I've always been a little hesitant on purchasing beauty products on amazon and I feel like this has proven that feeling right.

First of all, as soon as I took it out of the soft package it was in, I could tell I was going to have a mess on my hands. They had used some sort of plastic around the bottle, but apparently hadn't ensured that the cap was closed and locked before doing that because the liquid was everywhere. I rinsed it off for 5 minutes and still couldn't get it all off.

THEN came my first use, which I was extremely hopeful and excited for. I don't know how long they had this in the warehouse, but I pumped several times and brown liquid came out. It was disgusting. After numerous pumps, finally the clear liquid started coming out but it's hit or miss. I still got brown liquid about 75% of the time after that.

After actually using the product, still disappointed. My hair looks and feels just as dry and dull as it did before I used it. Literally did nothing at all other than smell decent. Won't be buying again.

I was eagerly awaiting this to try on my very coarse, thick, naturally dry hair. Just to give a description; I never blow dry and rarely use hot styling tools (at most twice a year). My hair has been bleached only once and colored only twice. Normally I don't apply synthetic products. I usually use virgin organic coconut oil to tame my hair, but even that only can do so much.

This product was unfortunately unsuccessful for me.

The product is clear when pumped out and does have a synthetic candy-like strawberry scent. That was expected from other reviewers comments.

When I first applied it, it seemed to be working... a bit. It smoothed my hair somewhat but only for a brief while.
It didn't appear shinier at all, though my hair, despite its state, already has significant shine.
An hour later, if that, as the product dried (or perhaps was absorbed) my hair appeared just as before I applied any product.
I reapplied a few times and received the same effect each time, using 12-15 pumps in total at each try (2-4 pumps on a section, at a time).
Due to its consistancy I can understand how easy it would be to apply too much and endure, at least temporarily, greasy appearing locks. It doesn't feel sticky or heavy though it is quite noticeable when you touch the hair.

I'm considering getting another product in this line to use together, thinking if it might work better paired. If it does I'll be sure to share it.

I don't think the product itself is bad, it simply didn't work for me. I have a suspicion this would work well on finer hair.

The bottle is very difficult to read; White text on an almost mirror-like container, which is a huge thumbs down for me.

Additionally, I was surprised it arrived unbroken, since the bottle was being knocked around in a small box still too big for it, with no padded packaging. (This had zero impact on my rating. My 2 stars is solely for the product itself.)
Amazon really needs to rethink its shipping practices as this is not the first time I received a breakable item packaged poorly. I understand the cost saving and environmental effects of skipping packing but at the very least boxes can be cut down to fit better. Boxes should be re-designed with this in mind.

Curiously I noticed the Amazon price increased a few dollars right after my item was delivered. Maybe it's just coincidence.

This is a great product by Kenra.I am always buying something different to try out on my Hair and while I normally use Oribe it has become to expensive to keep replenishing.The ends of my hair tend to get super dry in the Summer no matter how much I try to protect it from the Sun and get the ends trimmed every 6 weeks or so.This product did exceed my expectations.It really has kept my ends from getting frizzy and really leaves a nice , vibrant, healthy shine.I think I can cut back on the trims every 6 weeks and get them done every 8 weeks instead.A little is all you need or you may find this to be heavy and greasy.I had to experiment with this till I figured out how much I really needed which was about a half of a dime size for my hair.I ended up ordering another for a back up and im hoping it arrives as good as this one did without any weird coloring in it like some reviewers stated.If so I will update this review and go to Ulta and pay the few more dollars to have the Authentic and fresh product but this one is good.update july 22nd I recieved my other bottle today and like the first one I ordered this one arrived in perfect condition and no "brown" spots ! Great seller!

Has anyone else seen what looks like blood or rust drops in the Kenra oil seen after pumping it out in my hand?
I've used this product for a couple years and I don't remember ever seeing this before. We returned one bottle and was sent a new one and this one has more in it than the first one. We normally love the product, I just don't know what that is and I'd like to know. I don't want to stop using it.
