Since there is a snap ring used it is necessary to have access to both sides of the surface you're mounting on. Other than that great looking and very useful.

Difficult to install because you need cleat like these in hard to reach from behind areas in boat but if you can get it installed they work fantastic

I bought these to put on our boat, and I installed them in the big holes left from when I removed the butt-ugly Roswell Area 51 wake tower that had been on the boat when we bought it. They work very well for tying on docking fenders.

I own two different brands. This one could take a lesson from the first ones. They need a hole through the top for a screwdriver. Otherwise you need a very small right angle screwdriver, or you need to remove the C clip, spring and top part. This is not easily done if it is hard to get your hands inside the hull. Otherwise, after instillation these cleats are great. All PWC's should come with these installed.
