Works great against sea lions! The cage is very solid and well made. I have been able to crab without having my bait stolen from sea lions. Just make sure to have the cage securely tied to your hoop net and on the door use a key ring. The elastic hook is not strong enough and sea lions will break it immediately.

Use it long enough and you will get your money's worth by looking at the teeth marks and warped sides of this bait cage!
