Great product

Since I use buttermilk only for baking and cooking, I never manage to use up all of the fresh stuff before I have to discard it. Throwing away food makes me very unhappy -- but Sacco solves my problem. The buttermilk powder keeps essentially forever in the refrigerator and is undistinguishable from fresh buttermilk in cooked and baked applications (I don't drink it, so I can't say whether it tastes like fresh buttermilk in a glass).

I really like this product. I keep it in the refrigerator after opening since I don't use buttermilk often. I've tried other brands, but they have caked bad and some have an "off" smell. This one doesn't. I mix up what I need for the recipe and it does not smell much different from fresh buttermilk. Never tasted it, since I'm not a fan of buttermilk to drink, but it works great for baking.
Almost straight from the cow itself. Yum!

Wonderful product that I use often when making my homemade bread. It is so inconvenient to have to run to the store for fresh buttermilk all the time. With this Saco powdered blend no one would ever know it was not "fresh buttermilk". Thank you Saco Foods and Amazon.
Great Product, but Not a Great Value

It works exactly as liquid buttermilk does, and is much easier to store if you only find yourself using a 1/4 cup on occasion.
At the pricing available on Amazon, though, it'd be cheaper to throw out the odd bit of liquid buttermilk from time to time.

Real Buttermilk When Fresh Buttermilk Just Isn't Available. Great Product!

Great for those times and places when fresh buttermilk just isn't available. A sealed container will last for a few month in the refrigerator. When you've got to have real, home-made buttermilk biscuits or real buttermilk pancakes, and nothing else will do, this product is a life-saver.
