Professional photographers need the versatility of a grip that allows for horizontal and vertical shooting without turning the entire grip. The adjustible base plate and the vertical column that allows the base to move to a vertical position is just what the doctor ordered. The flash holder with the adjustable base and control knob along with the telescopic arm makes this a must have. It works for me from Capitol Hill to the White House.

This is a GEM! While a bit bulkier/heavier than other brackets I've tried, this is by far the sturdiest and adjustable "all in one" model I've seen. Absolutely a "go to" item for on-the-go portraits, events and parties. Easily threads on to a monopod directly, or you can use a plate. Zero red eye and nice shading, particularly under chins. Pair it with a good sync cord and you're all set!

I believe that this bracketing set is awesome and will be perfect for particular weddings and receptions under very low lighting situations. Looking forward to using this product, so stay tuned.

First, I must say this bracket is very comfortable to use horizontally & vertically while on the job. Second, this bracket is perfect for weddings, nightclubs,reunions at the park etc....... Finally, this is a design flaw, the rubber piece on the mounting plate came off using the bracket on my first wedding job. Some people might say to just reglue the rubber piece but this doesn't fix the problem if you pay for goods the consumer should not half to repair the product because of a design flaw. Spending a few more $$$ for a dependable bracket not to break while working is one less thing to worry about when trying to take great pictures for your client. Once Alzo fixes this problem this should be a very good bracket to work with and last a long time. Hope this helps!

I received this as a Christmas gift. I waited a week or two to open and play with it. It took about 10 minutes before the spring latch broke. I contacted ALZO and they were happy to fix it, but it would cost me postage. I asked my daughter to send it back to Amazon for a refund. At the same time I purchased a new one. I want to see if it gets past 10 minutes--and as before that's without a camera attached. I am really concerned about the ALZO Flash Bracket quality and am looking at the ProMediaGear flash bracket. Problem with it is it cost 3 times as much but likely 3 times better built. Updates when I have both in hand.
Update
The PromediaGear is easy to use, but impossible for me to use on a Nikon D500 with their universal plate. The plate gets in the way of the battery compartment door. It might be better if they come out with a custom plate and use a left hand version. I have decided to keep the ALZO and return the other.
There are several reviews of the ALZO that comment on how difficult it is to re-attach the camera plate after you remove it to mount the camera. There is a fix for that (ALZO should have done this) but you mount a QR clamp to the camera plate one time, you then never need to remove that plate again and the camera slips on and off as easily as on and off a tripod with a ball head.
The other complaint I see in the reviews is the fact that it is hard to reach the camera shutter button. It is not hard, rather impossible. There is an easy solution for that as well. mount the camera such that the ALZO handle is on the left side then you cn hold the camera and the bracket. and your right hand is where it normally is, no problem with the shutter button. Actually I find it easier to use that way.
