Very pleased with how well this rotary cutter works. I haven't had one before so I can't write a comparison. The only problem I had was inadvertently popping the cutting blade off a couple of times.

Purchased as a replacement for one that I previously owned. Prefer Olfa rotary cutters which work best for me. Blade is easily changed. Favorite Olfa rotary cutter.

As much as my husband hates to watch me cut fabric with a rotary cutter, this was a Christmas gift from him. This is the best and safest one I've used. I've now realized that the one I purchased several years ago was, although a well known brand, wobbly, scary, difficult to change blades and not so safe.
The Olfa is sturdy, straight, well made and comfortable. It can be used by either the left or right hand and it does not wander. I also received the Olfa cutting mat that makes cutting even better. Curved or straight, it's right on the mark. Even for cutting fabric for making bias tape.
I was going to save the 'other one' for heavy or faux fabric but decided it wasn't worth it.

Very nice cutting. I've used another brand for years and wished I had switched to the Olfa much sooner. I love that it can easily be left or right-handed without being disassembled and how easy the blade change is. I got the 60mm and the 45mm just like this one and love them both. I use the 60mm when I'm cutting through multiple layers of fabric or using a thicker ruler. This style was also easy on my arthritic hands as well which was something I worried about. You won't regret this purchase, I didn't.

This is one sharp cookie! Needed to cut some .5 no see-um mesh, that is so light weight, stretchy and slickery it is difficult to cut straight with scissors. This is the real deal here, cuts so easily and does not even move the fabric. I work with ripstop nylon and silnylon a lot and have been needing something to cut these thin light materials with that works well. This is it. I am using with a cutting mat and very light pressure is all it takes to cut with this tool. Worth the price for sure. I just got it so haven't used much but what I have cut it is amazing.
