I'm pretty much a drug dealer with these things... and I've probably made this company over $1000... cause I've been referring this military gum to family and friends for years now... it hits the blood stream like an ice cold drink early in the morning... quick and tingly... it's energizing like when you when you go to check your bank account and find out your branch made and error and credited you $25 for free... and it's lasting too... so awesome in a crunch... working overtime, studying for a test, right before entering a meeting, before hitting the gym, or going on a long road trip... they're amazing. Only ONE SUGGESTION: DO NOT GET CINNAMON FLAVORED. If your hope is to have your last meal come up, then get that flavor, but seriously.... stinking with Artic Mint is the way to go.

I really like these. I keep them in the car and in my desk at work for those times I don't have a chance to get a quick cup of coffee. The only problems I've had with them are:
1. Taste. Not bad (and my wife is fine with it), but I have to chew a few other pieces of gum at the same time to drown out the slightly off flavor.
2. Caffeine content. I'm not as convinced this works as well for me as an 8oz coffee. There's been times where I've had a piece and felt zero caffeine benefit whatsoever.

I love coffee, but my current living situation makes it no longer practical for me to make it very often, if at all. I tried energy drinks for a bit but they never seemed to effect me much and they have all sorts of other calories and stuff I didn't want or need. Plus they're pretty expensive. I found this stuff not too long ago and I couldn't be happier with it. I get a much stronger effect from one piece of this gum than energy drinks with twice the amount of caffeine. It feels about as good as a nice black cup of coffee or even better. The effects come on much more quickly as well.

Only real complaint I have is the taste, like many other reviewers. When you first start chewing it tastes about as good as any other piece of gum, but, presumably as the caffeine escapes, the taste gets pretty bad. I've gotten used to it rather quickly though (probably after my brain associated this gum with a happy caffeine high), and it doesn't really bother me anymore.

Only other thing I can say is a 200 mg version would be nice, since I generally end up chewing two anyway, but, for the sake of my health, that's probably for the better. Also the taste would probably be even worse.

Your results may vary, but I'd definitely give this a shot.

This stuff tastes like bitter nasty death. For the first few pieces. Then you just acclimate to the taste and it vanishes.

This is my third time buying this product and I have to say that I will be buying it again. As a full-time worker and a part-time student, I highly recommend this product for those times when you just don't have enough time to sleep. I usually start my day with two cups of coffee but popping one or two of these around lunchtime gives me that extra boost to stay on top of work and my studies. My only issues with it are the taste is a rather bitter kind of mint and the crash. It either comes gradually so you can tough your way through or it hits you like a freight train with a payload of red bricks, granite countertops, and Greek sculptures. All in all, I highly recommend this product if you are short on time and have a need for the caffeine to make it through the day.
