Buying a specific color online is risky, but I had a fabric I could not match, and the computer was the only thing I had at the time to try to find a match. It turned out that this color did NOT match the fabric, but it is such a lovely color, I will use it for embroidery if nothing else. I knew when I bought it that it might not match the fabric, and I really didn't mind one way or other since I loved the color anyway.

I use mostly Gutermann & Mettler threads for several reasons:
- Produces far less lint than many other thread brands (especially Coats & Clark)
- This cotton quilting thread is smooth, and does not twist and curl when hand-sewing as I have experienced with others.
- Does not have much breakage as I have experienced with other brands.
- Wax finish helps thread to glide smoothly through layers of fabric & quilt batting more easily than other brands I have experienced.
- Nice 40wt, slightly heavier/thicker than the average 50wt cotton thread from Gutermann.
Really love using this thread when I hand quilt (which is often). Beautiful rich red color with nice sheen.
