Holy sh!t. This is the real deal. I'm half black/half white and have super thick, pretty long curly hair and it's always been a struggle to find something to go through my hair. I used the Wet Brush for awhile which I loved, but this is better. I could never fully get the tangles at the back of my head or underneath at the nape of my neck, but this thing detangles to the SKULL.
It also leaves my curls looking so defined. I've never been able to just wash my hair, put in a leave in conditioner and go but I can now and I'm so so thankful! My life is so much easier.
My only complaint is it's not very comfortable to hold especially when wet and slippery. I usually wrap a washcloth or paper towel around it for better grip. Small price to pay though.

Love everything about this brush. I've used it on my 3b hair, my daughters 3a hair and mainly on my youngest 4b hair...De tangles like a dream when hair is wet obviously. Smoothes hair as well as defining curls! The fact that I can really clean this brush bc of the fact you can take it apart-definite plus!!! Definitely recommend to anyone wit natural hair.. Just a tip, the rubber is much easier to slide back on base while wet, I figured that out after struggling to slide the rubber while dry back onto the base. Silly, I know..but just for anyone wondering lol

I've been using these for years and this one that I received was very poorly made, nothing like the original. Very disappointed in the flimsy product and terrible construction. Never used, just sent the defective brush back. I understand the need to make money, but when you cut corners to increase profits on a classic product, it's a terrible move...
