Golden Retriever approved! My little one won't get out of his crate now! I ordered the Large MidWest iCrate (42L x 28W x 30H) and the MidWest Deluxe Micro Terry Bed (40L x 27W). The bed fits perfectly and the crate it is sturdy. Both were well-made for a good price. I hope my Golden doesn't outgrow this, but if he did, I'll by this combo in the next size up.

What did you people put in this dog bed? Dog nip? My puppy loves it and will not come out of his crate until he drags it out with him. Then he lays on it licking it. He outgrew it already, because that's what puppies do nonstop, grow. But he still carries it around like Linus and his blanket from The Peanuts. I need to buy a larger one, but I'm afraid it will blow his puppy mind trying to figure out how to drag both of them around every where he goes.

It has been many years since I purchased a mat for our dog crate. We just adopted a new pup and decided to buy some new mats. I would not buy this one again. It is nothing like the quality I got about 16 years ago. The pad does not have the micorfiber on both sides.There is white fabric on the opposite side. :-( (What's up with that?) All my old pads have the same fabric on each side. This pad is much thinner than I am used to. I just find it to be flimsy and of poor quality. If you dog likes to scratch, I would not expect this fabric to hold up.

This bed has held up well for my German Shepard power chewer puppy. He drags it around, chews on it, and shakes it like a toy and the seams have held up. I purchased another bed with more cushioning and in less than an hour the cover was history. The bed itself didn't last long after that, the stuffing was soon all over the floor. Not with this bed. I highly recommend this bed if you own a power chewer.

This bed mat fit nicely in the crate I purchased (it is a little shorter, but not critically so). The dog seems to like it. It is pilling a little bit, but I honestly haven't tried vacuuming it to see if it will smooth out or if the pilling is permanent. It had no noticeable odor when I opened it. It shipped folded, but stayed flat once laid out in the crate. It is thin, but I wasn't expecting a Tempurpedic mattress, just something to make the dog crate more comfortable for my dog.

And my dog hasn't tried to destroy it yet, so it might last a little while at least!

I would recommend this pad/bed for anyone else who needs a pad for their giant dog crate!
