Good mop for the price

A couple weekends ago I made the mistake of leaving the water running on low filling up my Pur 1 gallon iced tea water filter. After an hour of watching TV, when I returned to the kitchen it was to find a mini flood. That was when I realized I don't even have a mop (since I use a steam mop to clean the floors), so I had to use towels to mop everything up.
I wanted to find a sponge mop that I'd have for situations like this, and this one was a decent price.
It works, not much you can say about a mop that you don't use for cleaning, but for clean UP rather. It's absorbent, and the wringer works well when the mop is wet (and is very difficult when it's dry, since obviously the mop head is pretty stiff at that point). It's pretty solidly constructed.
For the price, it's a good deal.

Why don't more stores know about this brand?

Very good so far, although I haven't had it long enough to know about durability. It did a nice job on my very old linoleum kitchen floor. After reading many Amazon reviews of floor mops (I hate cleaning and thought I'd be more likely to do the job if I liked the tool), I tried finding this mop at my local retailers because I wanted to clean within 24 hours. I was amazed no one had this in their inventory, from Lowes to Home Depot to Sears to Walmart to local hardware store. So I bought it from Amazon and it came very quickly, although the packaging was quite humorous............... The box it came in was the length of the entire mop on one side, by 6 inches, by 3 feet !!!!!!!!!!!! Since I got this mop and used it and liked it, I found that Menards carries very many products from this manufacturer, including this.. Who knew? :) !!!!!!!
A good mop, but a little short

Looking around local stores and the web for a study sponge mop for my tile-floored condo, I came across this model. I was particular interested in a mop that would properly ring itself out, where the rollers would travel the entire length of the sponge to ring all the water out. I also did not want a sponge that would easily deform to any pressure so that I could clean my floors properly.
Overall, this mop is excellent. The ringer handle (although it is plastic) does a good job of squeezing liquid out of the sponge, very few drops made it to the floor. My only complaint is that the length of the handle is a bit short (I am 5 foot 10) and the width of the sponge is not quite as wide as my other sponge mops, so it takes a few more passes. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. The sponge held up well and at no point did I feel I had to use less pressure to prevent the sponge from deforming.
Amazon ships this in quite a large box so be warned!

is a good deal. It is not the most awesome mop ...

I was using this mop today and it broke beyond repair. So, I came here to write a nasty review about it because I admittedly don't mop very frequently. However, I decided to first check my past purchases to see when I had actually bought the mop. I see now that this $20 mop is almost 6 years old. So, I figure anything that you buy for $20 that lasts six years, regardless of how little you use it, is a good deal. It is not the most awesome mop in the world, but it does the trick and is well worth the price.
Great for Use Between Steam Cleanings

I usually mop with a steam mop but like to mop the old-fashioned way (well, not on hands-and-knees old fashioned way) every third or so mopping. My old sponge mop was a disaster, so I chose this one for those times I want to mop with more water.
I liked this one because it includes a scrub brush. Just flip the mop over, and there you have it. The bursh is quite stiff, and I really appreciate it for those spots that need some extra work, no having to get out another scrubber.
The sponge mop head seemed to me like it would not hold up, that it was too flimsy, finer than a traditional sponge. After a few months' use, this has proven to not be true. It is holding up very well for me, even though some of my tile floor is rough textured and hard on mop heads.
This mop has a lever to squeeze out the water, and it is very, very efficient. The mop is merely damp after squeezing it. In fact, when I want a little more water on the floor for dirtier areas, I use the lever only part way to leave the mop wetter, and then after mopping and scrubbing with that extra water, I squeeze it completely to mop up the excess water.
I still like my steam mop and it is easier to use (no buckets of water to haul around and empty, no cleaning solution to mix), but I wouldn't want to be without a traditional mop, and this one fits the bill perfectly.
