... from a seller that stated it was in very good condition and that was very untrue

I purchased this product from a seller that stated it was in very good condition and that was very untrue. If I would've known the condition that I would have received the stove in for five dollars I could've purchased it from Walmart.com and got a brand-new one for $5. It was extremely dirty and filthy but other than that the stove is an amazing little product and I will be using it every time I go camping and backpacking.
Works as advertised, but stinky storage!!!

Works as advertised. I'm impressed with the size of the packaging. It's a very small compact stove. It looks like it will do exactly what it said it will do. Purchased this for my emergency bug out bag in the car.

The fish smell from the wrapped solid fuel cubes is strong. I put them in Ziploc bag and the fishy smell still permeates. Not sure if this is going to work as a permanent addition to the bag to be stored in the back of the SUV. The wife has a very sensitive nose for these things. I will try double bagging or using some type of sealed plastic container to contain the smell. Otherwise, I am very happy with the purchase for its intended use.
Esbit Folding Fuel-Tab Stove

This is a standard, time-honored fuel-tab stove with a few problems: The fuel tabs heat slowly and are heavy for the amount of heat one gets. Some brands will leave a residue on the bottom of cooking vessels. Some of my outdoor colleagues place a windscreen closely around the stove and that does concentrate the heat for faster heating or boiling. This stove design has been around for over 70 years. Any stove that takes 12 minutes to heat a .5 liter cup (covered with lid) of water is not efficient. Some brands of fuel-tabs are hotter than others for delivering heat to a pot or cup.
Great addition to your kit

Okay. I was really reluctant to get a stove like this. Thought it would be flimsy and work poorly. So packed up for a 3 day and took off. Fist morning out I wanted a cup of coffee something terrible. Okay perfect time to try out the Esbit. Put my Toaks 750 on it and soon had plenty of very hot water (not boiling hot, but plenty hot), good enough for hot coffee and a hot chocolate. Next we did a bit of pan cooking on it, which was a bit difficult, but did work.
That night we put the 1L teapot on it and had very hot water fairly quickly (nobody was watching the clock, we were relaxing). Can' really say anything but nice stuff about how compact it is; how easy the fuel lights; and how fast the clean up is. I would suggest with a SilverFire Economy Scout and an Esbit Ultralight Pocket Stove you are ready for anything. If you want to boil water, you will use two tablets.

Wow! This little campstove is awesome for backpacking or your bug-out bag. It's about the size of my hand (lady) and I tried one of the Esbit cubes in my house with a fan running for ventilation.
It doesn't create any smoke but does give off a stinky odor.
I tested it with a stainless steel salad master pan holding 2 cups of water. Pretty thick pan. The cube lasted 12 minutes total and it had the water at a low simmer about 6 min in, and never reached a boil. I'm not sure if it would. Even if I had used another cube, I think the pan was just too thick.
I used another cube with an aluminum camping pan holding 2 cups of water and it boiled at 6 minutes until the cube burned down at 12 min again.
It folds out and could hold a substantially large pot or skillet altho the heat would be concentrated to the size of the fuel cube.
Great stove at a great price.
