Love that it is made in USA (too few things are these days). Seems to be well made and sturdy, but the latch that closes the hanging hook was extremely tight and the first time I pressed down on it with my thumb it snapped up and broke the tip of the hook. I have contacted the manufacturer and expect that they will help. If not, I will edit this review. It is very nice.

This is the wider, deeper and more sturdy than any others. (I bought and returned four others before splurging on this one.)
My use may be somewhat atypical -- I have suspended a suet cake vertically in a wire cage, up inside the dome.
Chickadees and juncos quickly figured out this a great food stop. (They hang on it both on the sides and upside down underneath.) No other other small birds have tried it. However, blue jays checked it out, but they couldn't quite figure out how to get to the suet. They seem to have given up. But if they do launch another attack, I'll just reposition the suet cage even higher in the dome -- horizontally.

I got the baffle in December of last year, and Have only utilized the class by a few times"¦ Mine broke also. Now, I can't find any way to reach out to draw Yankees just to get a new clasp. I can't find their contact information anywhere on the Internet.

Bought this to replace one I had had for years; it had come down in storm and broken. This is a great item for keeping squirrels off the feeder AND providing the little birds a nice little cozy partial shelter, especially when it rains or snows (I adjust the dome so that the feeder hanger is as high up into the dome as possible). Be aware that if you place the dome and feeder in such a way that there is a nearby adjacent branch for a squirrel to hop over from, you will be frustrated. Hang the dome and feeder so that the only way for a squirrel to approach is from above the dome! If you do this, it works GREAT!!! I should also say, if you are not familiar w/ Droll Yankees....they make well constructed, solidly put together products designed to last for years.
