Difficult to open
Jaime Moreno•June 5, 2017
Difficult to open it with one hand, you can of course useboth hands but i as an expert electrician it slows me down, i need to use additional force on my fingers to get it open every time i use it.
They strip, shear, and cut just like how I need 'em to.

Really useful for my various home electrical/ hobby electronics projects. The gauges err on the side of cutting into the wire vs leaving the insulation, which is fine and I guess expected, but I use a lot of braided copper wire rather than solid wire so I am constantly finding sharp little bits of copper in my clothes and with my fingers on my workspace. Copper splinters-- painful but naturally antimicrobial!
Only pair I will use
Blks197•March 21, 2017
This is my third pair in a row mainly due to leaving them above drop ceilings and forgetting where I left them. I work as an electrical contractor at a local hospital. Needless to say I can't shut off hot circuits very often so I do most of my work hot. The plastic construction with the plastic thumb pad make these great for hot work. They cut very well and last long. Only complaint is the lock eventually wears out gets loose and becomes a nuisance to the point I remove it. Other than that I love them and only buy this pair.

I'm a life long electrician whose always used the Klein yellow handles. I'm going to compare and contrast (since I think Klein is the gold standard).
Pro's:
Curvature of the handles
Clip to close tool
Strips wire fine
Reliable
Doesn't fray or cut wire strands
Cons:
Feels and looks cheap. Flimsy feeling plastic handles.
I'm going to use this tool until it wears out (probably a year. I'm an electrician I strip wire all day long and a year is a long time for strippers). I'll purchase the Klein yellow handles again though after this.
It would give Klein a run for its money if it didn't feel so darn cheap and had some sort of cushioning on the handles. I just can't get over how cheap and horrible they feel in the hand.
