Our 10 cup coffee maker carafe fills this about 2/3, so we can make two pots, and pour a couple of cups and have hot coffee the rest of the morning.

I've used lots of carafes for coffee and other hot drinks, and this is by far the best I've used. Nice wide mouth, doesn't leak when you tip it over in the car (yes, I travel with coffee in the car for my office staff!) and keeps things nice and hot for hours. Definitely a find.

I use Amazon for alot of shopping, since I kind of live in the "sticks", this purchase kind of left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Not from the carafe itself, but through my own stupidity, I paid $70+ for something that you can find at the store`s for around $20. Did not know this. OOps. It just keeps the coffee warm, not hot, for a couple hrs. My husband has a thermos coffee cup that will keep his coffee HOT for several hrs. If you can go to your local dicount store and find this, fine, I do not recommend spending the money this place askes for.
