The adjustments are easily made during first fitment. Overall, it is a very robust system. This is an initial observation so a long-term opinion has not been taken into account here.
It doesn't take very long to get used to the platform. It's very comfortable and high on the scale as far as usability. After an afternoon of shooting, pulling from and holstering the weapon felt very natural. I'm very satisfied with this product.

this is the second Serpa I have bought. the Glock model I bought secured my sidearm through rugged conditions climbing over boulders, repelling, off-trail mountaineering and never once did the weapon fall out or snag. I have no doubt in my mind that this second one for my berretta 96 will do just the same. these things are comfortable and do not slide around if mounted correctly to the highest portion of your leg that you can fit it. nothing beats these holsters!

Rock solid rig for carrying my handgun in the field hunting. Top quality, holds firmly and comfortably your leg, and has quick release loops to make it easy to take on/off your belt without having to remove your belt. Best of all is the absolute awesome support from Blackhawk. The locking mechanism on my holster was tight and a bit difficult to release. I called Blackhawk customer support who called me back in a matter of minutes. The gentleman on the phone apologized for my problem and sent me replacement immediately. Very solid holster. I've never had a negligent discharge. As long as you have trigger finger control. A little off color but close enough. Thing hold my 1911 like a glove. And it doesn't move from my thigh... I added the center strap for extra support on my battle belt.
Actually saw a negligent discharge on the range with it.

These are great holsters, and there was a promotion for 50% for the serpa holsters.
I quickly jumped on it, especially since my friends had the same holster.
We ended up going on a range date, and a buddy of mine shot a few inches to the right of his foot while drawing his pistol.
100% his fault, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the holster played a part in it.
Do yourself a favor, and get a Safariland 7TS if you want a thigh holster with a perfect active retention system.
I quickly jumped on it, especially since my friends had the same holster.
