Wow amazing sound for the price!

I agree with most of the reviews. I had my Zildjian's Zbt's 14" hi hats on my Ludwig drum set for jazz playing, then my Sabian's 14" hi hats on my Pearl drum set for heavy rockin, but just not crisp enough. But I read up on these HCS hi hats and was skeptical still? But purchased them anyways. For the price I could not believe the sound these cymbals were producing! Amazed and now a believer! That the higher price isn't always going to be better! These things are so awesome! I'm buying another set with the crash and ride to compare with my other cymbles I have. I've played off and on in bands, drummer first guitar second. But now I'm back on drums and starting to record my own sound! And I've played for about 35 years and I'll say these cymbals rock! Get some well worth the price!
Very satisfied

For the money this is an easy upgrade to any type of stock hats. If you bought a cheap kit like I did that came with some cymbals and you're not ready to sink hundreds into your hats while you upgrade other pieces(heads bdrum pedal snare ect) these are the way to go we just play rock around here. I will pass these on to the other drum set when I do my final upgrade(not in a hurry becuase I do like these) these will sound great on the kids set and I don't mind if they get destroyed becuase ill just buy more. My star rating is quality for price based. Will they stack up against high end hats ??? I dunno but if you were interested in high end hats you wouldn't be reading this so, these are what you want..
They sound awesome for being so cheap

They sound awesome for being so cheap. I like quality products, and of course I considered the high end options, but I also like not spending all of my money on a small part of my kit. I can't distinguish them from $200 hats when playing. That may be because I've never played $200 hats, but I've seen and heard them in plenty of music and plenty of YouTube videos. One day I might get a more expensive pair and use these as auxiliary hats, but for now they serve me just fine.
Solid sound

These sound great and I love playing them. The tone is rich and they feel solid enough to take a beating from relentless accents with the stick shoulder. The shiny brass looks good.
Update 2018/03/08: I eventually got tired of the brassy sound. I came into a pair of Meinl MCS (B8 bronze) hats, and while they sound slightly better, I'm still looking to replace them with some B20 bronze hi-hats now. I still think the HCSs are a good value, but I personally won't add any more brass cymbals to my collection in the future.

Great Beginner/Intermediate hats

These hats are really solid for a beginner/intermediate player, nice slosh, good bark, and overall feel and quality is very good. the stick chick is a little brassy, but compared to all of the other similarly prices entry level has, these take the cake. Have recommended them to other folks whose kids are learning drums as well.
