For the money its the only way to go for lower pressure applications such as bio pressure pump. But read specifications
Cliff Ellixii•June 11, 2016
I used it for my bio pressure filter and pump and had no problems but do not use claps. Double up on your clamps for your size of hose. I used a 1-1/2 inch clap bought at local auto parts store for a little I er a dollar a piece. There may be some leaking in beginning but be patient and small leaks will slow and stop. I got three hoses for the price for the of one of the others and have ran a month with no problems. They come in 25 feet sections and just cut at smooth section on the hose and you may be able to get one hose to do you job depending on what you need. Don't twist them up or be rough on them and you should get some good use out of the. I bough 3 so I have plenty for me and my pond pump for years. (Hopefully ) Good luck.
Using it to redirect clothes washer's water
Ana•June 4, 2016
We use the hose to discharge the clothes washer's water into the yard. Because of the draught, the city only allows watering the yard twice a week, but with the use of the washer's water our plants are keeping nice and green. The hose is very light so it's easy to move from one plant to the next. We first bought a hose that's for swimming pools, I am not exactly sure how it is used in pools but I know we paid over $40 and it is heavy. We are still using that one but we have this Flotec connected to it and now I am ordering a second one to increase the reach. It's working beautifully for our purpose. If you're looking to reuse your laundry machine's water I strongly recommend this hose. In fact, I strongly recommend reusing the machines water! =]
Amazon recommended this product to go with my sump pump, was not compatible.
WagsB•May 29, 2016
The only reason I'm giving this a bad review is because it was recommended that I buy this with the sump pump that I bought. It did not cost much and I thought it would be useful however it was not compatible with the sump pump. It should not have been recommended if it won't work with the product. I should have returned it but I thought it would be more work than it's worth.

Used with XtremepowerUS 2115GPH 1/2HP Clean/ Dirty Water Submersible Pump for spa draining
R. Parsons•April 20, 2016
Used this with XtremepowerUS 2115GPH 1/2HP Clean/ Dirty Water Submersible Pump.to drain my 385 gallon spa, did so in approx. 15 minutes. I have used two garden hoses in the past and has taken hours to drain the spa that way. Knowing that it took that long, sometimes led me to procrastinate draining and cleaning my spa.
- On the pump above, I removed the entire outlet elbow (black 90 deg fitting shown on the right side of product picture) to connect the discharge hose adapter that came with the Universal Discharge hose kit. This allowed less restriction and better flow while pumping out the water. The included fittings in the Universal Discharge Hose kit are all "male" fittings while fittings on the pre-installed up-facing connector are female at the knurled knob on the pump listed above. The only drawback I found to my modified set-up was that the discharge hose now comes off perpendicular (straight out) from the side of pump and makes it just a little tricky to keep upright when first setting it into position.

Not for Vacuum Cleaners
Stioc•December 12, 2015
I'm conflicted how to rate this because I'm sure for the intended purposes it works fine (I have no way of knowing so can't rate it 5) but I tried using it as a long/cheap vacuum cleaner hose in the garage but it has an awful howling noise, I tried cutting it short the noise is still there. I even tried duct taping the end thinking that may be the cause of the noise but that didn't help either. So if your'e looking to use it as a cheap vacuum hose it won't work. I can't rate it 1 because it was not intended as such but thought the review might be helpful for other like minded cheapskates lol
