Perfect for making a large amount of tea.

These were exactly what I was looking for. Some reviewers felt that these were flimsy, but I found them to be made of a quality material and well enough made that they could be washed and re-used, but at 20 cents each I have not bothered to do this. I use these to make a strong tea out of dried comfrey leaves to use to soak my injured foot in. Even the finest of the dried leaves do not come through the cloth, although they will come out of the drawstring opening if it isn't tied tightly enough (I cut the knot off the string tie to make this easier to do). The bag is large enough to hold several tablespoons of dried leaves, sufficient to make about a gallon or so of very strong tea. Water soaks in, tea comes out, perfect!

One issue of drinking home brewed spiced tea is many of the products out there do not work well with simmering finer spices. These bags once tied tight do the job better than anything else I've tried. I've also used the bags to stuff herbs and spices in poultry for the rotisserie and I have use them in pots of soup/sauces (where I want the flavor but not the herb texture). They worked wonderfully and held up well for all of these purposes. I am sure they work equally well for scent sachets or a number of other purposes. The strings on my bags pull shut very easy and the product is well made and holds up. For many purposes the bags could be washed and reused.

These were what I needed them for! I purchase a lot of loose leaf tea! and though I also have tea balls and other ways of brewing my tea I find I like using these bags most times ! And I enjoy making my own herbal tea blends! they are also good for soups and broths when you want a nice clean and clear liquid broth with out having to use a strainer! ( Pho broth) this was a great price for 50 teas bags! will definitely re-purchase !

These bags are just what i need to put catnip inside knitted cat toys. I've ordered 3 times and each they have been different size and fabric. This time they were 4 1/4" x 3 1/8". Sometimes the weave is tight and fine, and other times loose and course. For my purposes it does not matter. I will continue to buy.

Its not often that one finds a perfect cotton drawstring muslin bag, and unfortunately, this bag stands short of perfection. While this drawstring sack effectively holds things, and has a draw string, I was really hoping for something a bit more... perhaps with a little more....spice... But for now, this bag will do.
