Beautiful enough to buy multiple sets!
John•April 15, 2017
Beautiful dice, definitely look at the customer review photos. In direct light, they appear more like a translucent lavender set. Most of the time, however, they appear like a beautiful purple galaxy with shimmering stars, a royal purple with glitter inside to give them a little pizzaz. They quickly became my favorite set of dice, and the next thing I knew I had 4 of this exact set in my collection.
(You may notice some small white marks when you first get them, and those are mold marks from manufacturing. They've become less noticeable the more I use the dice.)

Love the color!

Love the color! They are clear purple when held up to the light but have an incandescent blue/purple coating. Only gave it 4 stars because it looks like the corners of a few dice were impacted, as the plastic has turned white, even though the case they came in was intact.

These dice are INSANELY GORGEOUS - the picture does not do them justice at all. Would happily give full stars except that my set has a LOT of blemishes. Numbers not painted well, white scuffs... it's pretty bad. The only dice free of these at all is the d12 (the one dice I never seem to use). I would LOVE to contact the seller somehow to see if this could be rectified, because a pure set would be *so* beautiful.
EDIT: I contacted Chessex and they responded quickly; apparently the scuffs are mold marks (they provided pictures to show that all of the borealis and translucent dice have them). Oh well. Added two stars because of good customer service, not full because of the marks though.

Great dice, but received damaged.

They *would* be really great, if they weren't damaged when I got them. The d20 has deep gouges and scratches on multiple faces. Basically all of the dice except the d6 and d8 have chips in them. Apart from that, the dice look wonderful. The gold is very easy to read and the colors are vibrant.
You'll be a Critical Hit at the next D&D party with these die!

Feel the mystical power of these phenomenal iridescent polyhedral die as you roll you way through goblins and stealth checks with ease! Perfect for any wizard or sorcerer who wants to showcase that they're both stylish and classy and man (or woman) enough to rock a luscious shade of deep purple.
