I reviewed this earlier but not since I put it to the test. Most of the other uses were somewhat casual or not totally necessary. As a track and field official, I have found the use of voice amplification important in noisy venues. I have another wired unit that has worked will but has recently shown signs of not being reliable, thus the reason for the purchase. Early on, I had some issues with the wireless mic and transmitter not working consistently but when I went to the hand-held mic, the unit worked flawlessly for me. Other officials were using it and seemed to be having some difficulty but when I checked it, the mic worked fine. I also found that the speaker could be placed a fair distance away from the mic and it worked very well and produced clear sound with plenty of volume. I still have some experimenting to do with the headset/transmitter unit which does allow for hands free operation, although the transmitter still has to be turned on by hand, unless it is allowed to remain on with the mic open. I also have yet to try the lapel mic. Regardless, I have grown to really appreciate the versatility of this unit where I use it.
Worked Great While it Worked.

Purchased this in August 2015 for use during monthly quilt guild meetings. We have one meeting each month for about 2 hours. It worked great for about 2 months, then I noticed the wireless headset microphone making lots of static and popping noises, so switched to the lapel mics, they worked fine for 2 months, before the same issues occurred so I switched to the handheld mic for our last meeting. It has stopped working completely. I emailed their service department about 3 weeks ago and got no response..so I called the company today. I am sending it in to "determine if its a defect and IF it can be repaired under the warranty." The repair/tech support guy seemed perturbed from the moment he answered my call and I have no idea why. (Maybe he was just have a bad day) I believe I am a super considerate and polite person because I know what its like to work in the service industry, and most folks who know me would tell you the same. The guy first suggested that WE broke the wires in the lapel and wireless headset. I let that go; but then he said "someone" must have tried to remove the head from the handheld mic and broke the RF wire. WTH?? It isn't even remotely loose, and who in their right mind would just arbitrarily remove the mic head? Plus I am the only person who uses the mics or the amp. At that point I asked if he was blaming everything on me in order to get out of honoring the warranty. His response was..."I'm just telling you that people do stuff and you have to send it all back before I know." He also told me to make sure I packaged it properly because if any damage could have been caused in shipping they would not repair or replace. You can be I will package this baby within an inch of its life, and we'll see how the warranty actually holds up. 'll re-post when I find out, but so far--tech support/repair from Hisonic is not at the top of my nice list.
Useful for a classroom environment

This system work pretty well. I use it EVERY day for work as a college professor. The portable headset/mic lasted about 6 month then died - so that's not cool - but the regular microphone works fine. I suspect I packed the headset / mic poorly and it got banged up.
Great sound that saves us money!

We purchased this to reduce the cost of renting microphones at venues with outrageous AV costs. Instead of paying $100/day per microphone, we tried these. I will purchase another one before our next event and we have several events coming up, which will save us money with each one. We are a non-profit organization that teaches classes and budgets get tight with grant funded projects. The sound we get from this system is amazing, and the amplifier fills the room with our voices. I love the portability and there is no need for an expensive sound system either. Our facilitators can have the choice of the headset or handheld, and we can pass the handheld through the audience for questions. (although we can only use one at a time, not both) This is a great tool for us!

This item was purchased for a Red Hat group. Our meetings usually have 40 to 50 members attending, and the venue is often quite large and noisy. With members getting older and often hard of hearing, we were searching for some kind of sound system. These are not readily available! This Hisonic sounded as if it would meet our needs so we decided to try it. When we set it up and learned how to use it we were very pleased with the performance, the size and the weight, the way parts of the system worked together, and the output. I did not attend the first meeting; the Queen was quite pleased with how it worked. A member in attendance had this to say: "....The system at Red Hat definitely was an improvement. Those who use it will have to remember to speak directly into it for a full impact. The head moves, but the mike doesn't and we lose the volume. That takes practice. It was a good place to try it out. There was a lot of noise with all of us there and it worked well. I don't know how those things work, but can the presenter adjust the volume on the mike? Glad we have it." It seems we will have to fine tune our use, but I do think this is the best product to meet our needs.
