I have a big head, so finding a comfy hat can be tricky. I ordered the 2xl and it works for me. It blocks the sun well and is not too tight. Granted, my husband quotes Crocodile Dundee everytime he sees me in it, but what does he know? LOL.

The hat I ordered is way too large -- when I put it on, it slides all the way down to my ears! I carefully measured the circumference of my head before ordering: the measurement was 23 and 3/8". According to the chart, my head size is between a Large and XL, so I ordered an XL since there is nothing worse than a hat that's too tight. Wrong decision! I should have ordered a Large, although from experience most Large hats are too tight on my head. Now I must go through the hassle of returning this otherwise appealing hat. No more ordering hats over the internet for me!

Just a "hair" off in styling for me but otherwise great. Price, appearance, quality, probably can't be beaten. In the last 6 months, this has traveled with me to Wisconsin, Florida, and SE Asia. It has blocked sun, water spray, and some mosquitoes while remaining cool on the head. (take whichever way you like). Stayed on while going 40mph on the water. This was packed 50% of the time while flying. Packed on bottom inside hardside suitcase. Filled inside with socks, (clean!). Then other clothes on brim and around it. It has always survived looking fine. Have tried to roll brim and let sit for 24 hours. It so far returns to its original shape within 15 minutes when released. Still almost looks new. I might have given this a higher rating if I had received one that fit. Unfortunately the package was opened and everything had been discarded so I'm not going to return it. I'll just give it to somebody with a head the size of a watermelon. I'm not sure everyone here has been reviewing the same hat, so I will note that I bought the Henschel 5310 Packable Mesh Breezer Hat, X-Large in Khaki. Even though some reviewers thought there is a size chart, I couldn't find one on Amazon that was specific to this hat. Lacking that, I followed advice in the reviews and bought the XL because I wear a 7 1/2 hat. My hat size has been the same for forty years and I've bought enough hats to know that 7 1/2 still fits and my head has not shrunk. This hat fell down over my ears. It was gigantic and my wife started laughing when she saw me. I couldn't even see because it covered my eyes. Now I'm not blaming the manufacturer, except it would be better if the hats were listed with a conventional hat size range too.

Love this hat. I am a big beach goer and a hiking person. I can wear it doing either. Rain or shine, it takes care of me. Runs a bit small. Good news is... if the fit ends up being slightly larger than needed you can just stick a bit of foam or paper towel in the head band. Works perfectly
