It has a strong but lasting perfumed scent, which transfers to your hands. The grip of the bocce balls is more slippery vs. other waxes for bocce/bowls balls.. Johnson's Paste Wax has a slightly tackier feel, and is very inexpensive ($5.99 for 16 ounce can). I would not purchase this product again.

It works very well. It not only makes the balls look better, but gives them a little more grip.

I do not have anything to compare this product to, but I am rating it 5 stars. It has probably extended the life of our Bocce balls. They end up dusty and beaten up after each game and rolling in dust covered courts. We have been religious about polishing them after each game and they still look decent and almost new. Our Bocce set is now about a year old.
