This is a really nice cover. The fabric itself allows for airflow and there are large vents at the top of the cover that allow moisture to escape. These vents will allow water in if there is a breeze while raining, but they also allow the moisture to escape once the rain stops.

Our camper is stored at our seasonal site, not close to our home. Our seasonal site is directly across from a farm, so it can get windy at times. We knew that any cover we put on the camper would have some wear and tear because of the wind. We visited our camper after being covered for 3 months. Although the cover showed signs of wear and tear with some holes along the straps - from vibrating straps in the wind - it was still covering the camper. The camper was nice and dry inside. I was okay with the wear and tear. I figured it would make it through the rest of the winter.

A month later, the campground owner emailed with pictures of our completely failed cover. It looked like someone got on the roof and cut the cover down the middle as the cover laid around all sides of the camper. This was before the 3 Nor'easters that just blew through that area.

If you expect any type of wind where you store your camper, don't get this cover. I think the straps actually did more harm than good. When we visited the camper after three months, at the top of almost every strap, the cover had worn through. It was obvious to me that it was from the vibration caused by the wind. One of the straps had torn completely off and was lying on the ground.

It is a large cover and can be a little hard to work with. During installation, my wife, daughter and son were on the roof while I was on the ground. After they began unrolling the cover and laying it over the sides, my son came down to help me. It probably could have been done with just 2 people. Having 2 people on the roof is better. One person on the ground is sufficient as the cover hangs pretty well once it is unrolled.

Hopefully the warranty process goes well. I won't be able to use the replacement cover, but hopefully I can sell it to someone that stores their camper in a wind-free area.
Easy to install. Good quality.

Just installed this cover with my wife. The instructions were OK but I'm not sure how they could be made better. The cover seems well made though I think it's a little over sized for what they tell you. I bought the 30-32 foot cover for a 30 foot motor home and there is about four extra feet of length. The tie downs seem good...kind of a funky system and they should have included nylon cinch fittings for the sides.

Probably the best thing I could say about it is that my wife and I installed it in about 40 minutes...start to finish. No sniping. No yelling. Considering how hard I can be to work with, that says a lot.
Good Product --Horrendous Directions
David Allen✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 17, 2017
Just got back from putting our 32' pull behind Jayco trailer up for the winter and installed a cover for the first time since we are storing outdoors. Here is the scoop on the product from the perspective of my installation.

The directions that come with it pretty much suck, they are worthless! Honestly, now that it is installed (with two rips...I will explain later in this review) I think it is a really good cover for the money. That being said because the directions are so utterly worthless I could not give it 5 stars.

I actually encourage you to try the product out because it is a nice. But, if you do buy it PLEASE READ THIS important information about installing it.

-First of all it comes folded in a VERY odd manner that does not help with installation. The video shows you taking the cover on the roof and rolling it out there. In my estimation, do NOT do this. Instead lay it out on the ground. There are tags on the front and the back that indicate front and back. Please note these tags are on the top of the cover.
-There are a lot of zippers on the cover to accommodate various RV's and trailers. Locate the zippers on the four corners and unzip them. This is the most important step as it is virtually impossible to install without unzipping them and quite easy to install with them zipped.
-I then suggest rolling the cover from the front to the back.
-Carry the cover onto the top of the RV. Go to the front and lay down the cover so that the "front" label is centered on the RV and roll it to the back. As you begin to roll it out, let the front portion fall down so that you can eventually grab it and pull it down. The open zippers should fall down the two front corners of the RV.
-When you get to the back of the trailer the back two zippers should fall down the back two corners of the RV allowing you to climb down the ladder.
-Now you can carefully work the cover from the ground until it evenly covers the RV.
-Now you can zip up the corners. It helps here to have a step ladder to grab the zipper. I backed my pick up and stood on the side of the bed. As you get to the bottom of the second corner being zipped you should note that there is elastic in the cover and it is a two person job to pull it tight and handle the zipper.
-Once the zippers are all done, the rest is pretty easy with the front and back straps and the tension straps on the sides (which are ingenious)

Unfortunately for me I got a rip from one of my rain gutters snagging while I was wrestling with it and a big rip by the top of the ladder when it was not zipped. A little gorilla tape and I think it will be good to go.

So, all in all a good product hindered by really bad directions. Hope this helps.
Disintegrates after a year
AxonMisfire✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 1, 2017
I have owned 2 of these and they last about 14 months before disintegrating. They look good for 12 months, but then rapidly go downhill to near dust a few months after that. This happens without taking it on or off, just sitting there. The Camco warranty says 2 years, but only the first year is 100% the second year is pro-rated based on full MSRP. So the warranty is essentially worthless after the first year, which amazingly they have perfected the product to survive at least that long.

I live in California where the sun is rather intense, so your mileage may vary.
New Camco RV Cover defective when unfolded
ams✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 8, 2017
The cover is well designed and it fits really well. HOWEVER! When we unrolled the brand new cover from the plastic bag and dropped one side, we noticed a VERY large tear. It's thin, paper like material. By then we had the cover nearly on. As you can see it extended vertically from the top down. I'd really like a replacement or a refund. IF you've ever climbed up a 40 ft RV and hauled up a 50 lb cover, you will know it's not the easiest thing to do. I'm happy to return it. But I'd like to have a replacement first, as I don't want to make multiple trips up and down that ladder!
For what I paid, I expected better quality control. I've had two other brands, at similar price points. This is a first - defective when opened.
