I had been looking for a covered case or box in which to organize and store spools of thread. Many are just too small and don't have enough capacity. I was intrigued by the design of this case though I thought it a little pricey at first. After a lot of looking around I decided to buy it.

It arrived today and I immediately began to organize all of the spools of thread. The description says you can store up to 64 spools but this case actually accommodate more than that. The spindles are 2 5/8 inches and will hold all common sized spools. If you have any very small spools, of which I had several, you can easily get two spools on a spindle. I got every spool of thread I own easily, and efficiently organized into a single case!!!

This case keeps the spool securely in place while still making it easy to get them out. The case opens flat and closes without obstruction even when full.

The case has feet that will hold it up free-standing on the bottom (opposite the handle). This will be very helpful if it's on a bookcase or shelf. The flat side and shape of the handle also lend itself to be hung on a dowel or straight double pegboard hook (like: National Mfg N180-737 6-Inch Heavy-Duty Double Pegboard Hook, 2-Pack - Quantity 5 If you have a lot a lot a lot of thread you could hang two or three cases on a single hook.

Holds tons of thread. Great organizer

I really like this for organizing thread. It will hold various size spools from different manufacturers and has room to put the bobbin next to the spool. When opened, everything is held in place so nothing will spill out by accident. I like that you are looking at the side of the spool, as opposed to the top, so it is easier to find the color you're looking for. My first one arrived quickly but was damaged. It was replaced in a couple days without and hassle.

I would definitely recommend this to others and will buy another one myself when I end up buying more thread colors.

I love this storage box. I like that you can see though it and that it holds onto the threads so no chance of opening it up and having them all fall out. The only concern I have is that with use the prongs that hold in the thread may break as you have to pull at them to slip on the spool. I guess I will find out over time!

I like the Sulky Storage box Idea, my threads were getting dust on them all of the time with the traditional wall mounted thread holders, but the quality of the Sulky Storage box was not as good as I had hoped. First of all, I ordered 2 storage boxes, one came with a huge crack all along the top. The lids are definitely not going to last with regular use either. If I purchase another (when these give out) I'd probably purchase one in the store using my store coupon. Then when the lid breaks, etc., I won't be out so much money.
