Had to replace the original one in my 08 Silverado 1500 as it had an intermittent fault and would cause the truck to completely die at highway speeds. Luckily, each time, (6x total), I was able to drift to the side of the road, turn off the key, and then start it back up one minute later. The Check Engine Light would come on but it would reset fairly quickly but then it would happen again. Code showed P0601: Replace Power Control Module. Of course it wouldn't work until it got programmed at the dealer and they charged me for one hour ($110) to install and flash. Hopefully this solved the problem but so far, so good!
