Worked great for a four-hour round trip camping expedition

I was skeptical due to the very low price of this item, but as we only needed it for a 2 hour car ride (each way) we were willing to chance it, fiuring if it totally disintegrated by the time we got home it would still be worth the savings over a hard-sided carrier. The bag worked fine, held our tent, camp chairs, air mattresses and a few other items, making it possible to fit everything we needed. It made it there and back and seems to be in fine shape, so we will definitely be able to use it next year as well. It didn't rain, so I can't speak to the waterproof quality, but we packed only things that it wouldn't matter if they got wet, and stashed in a few large garbage bags in case we needed extra protection on the way home. We have only side rails on our car, but this strapped on just fine, and didn't make any flapping noises or noticeable drag. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend it for a shorter car trip.

This item was purchased for a 31 day road trip. On day 4, we discovered that the "waterproof" lining had cracked and flaked off creating an unholy mess and rendering the item about as waterproof as a sieve. I'm very disappointed in this purchase.

This bag is amazing. It has saved us so much room inside our car. we have a Chevy Traverse and even though we have a lot of room inside when you start adding bags, pillows, blankets, and Teenagers the room is limited. We have used our bag on every trip we have gone one and love it! It is easy to install and take down, it is roomy and durable. LOVE IT!!
