Works Well

I have used this mic for a few performances at weddings and it has great sound quality and does not crackle or move around. I still have it attached to my violin and it is very practical for all the gigs I plan to have in the future.
Violin Pickup purchased on Amazon

I bought this to go with Behringer Keyboard Amp. for my grandson who now plays his fiddle in a high school band. He is drowned out by all of the instruments and really wanted to be heard. Our local music store wanted to sell me a Pickup for over $100.00. I looked on ebay and other sites. This Pickup was by far the least expensive I found on line. I was concerned about it marring the finish of a new violin however, the website stated that it is removable without damage to the instrument. We have found that to be so. Very pleased.
Exactly like I imagined in my mind.

Reasonably priced 1/4 jack pickup for your fiddle(or something). I am not much of a violin player yet, but I use it with a looper and some guitar effects and it works just fine. It was easy to set up, I love the velcro, the actual transducer itself is TINY (a good thing) and slips right into your wooden bridge, or under it. I had to play around to find a sweet spot. I have a Dean Markley pickup similar to this for mandolin, and I actual like this shadow pickup a bit better. The cord is the perfect length for a violin or viola, there isn't any slack kicking around. This doesn't sound super warm or anything, it's sort of a thin, tinny sound compared to the real thing, but it will sound better if you plug into a nice preamp. I didn't expect a transducer this cheap to sound amazing, I think it sounds good for the value. I would maybe try a nicer shadow brand pickup later for another instrument sometime.

Better than an $80 pickup which I ordered, but it developed an annoying hum after about 3 or 4 months.
