I grew up with "Sunday Sauce" on DeCecco rigatoni and simply have to continue. They're just the best rigatoni. Perfectly chewy. Awesome flavor. Just the right size and shape. If I don't have DeCecco rigatoni in my pantry I don't bother making "the sauce."

Good stuff. Tastes better than the more common name brands, similar to how common name brands usually taste better than the generic store brands (without naming names). The price is proportionate too, but the 15% subscription discount definitely helps. I like to substitute this farfalle in an old "home style" (baked/casserole) macaroni & cheese recipe (3 layers of each pasta, white sauce, and sharp cheddar, then topped with white sauce and parmesan). Will probably add more De Cecco subscriptions.

Hands down this is the best boxed pasta on the market. I make pasta from scratch some of the time and use DeCecco's pastas the rest. You know how you sometimes get that icky carb overload feeling from pasta? You will not feel that way after eating this brand. We almost gave up eating any boxed noodles then I saw someone using DeCecco on a cooking show and decided to give it a try. So far we have tried 4-5 different kinds of DeCecco and we love all of it equally. My kids love the bucatini the most and penne rigate is my husbands fave. This brand is now my one and only boxed pasta. If it's not DeCecco, I won't feed it to my family. It's great hot and also makes the best cold pasta salads I have ever prepared.

Amazon packages the boxes of pasta in a group of 5 boxes which are then bagged together tightly. It works out very well so I have never had any problems with broken noodles. I have Prime so it gets to me in two days, but if you're getting it shipped ground, not air, that might be why some people encounter damaged pasta. In my experience with Prime, things don't get beaten up because the duration of the journey is so much shorter.

I've started buying all my pasta through Amazon because I can't buy De Cecco locally. The best part is through Amazon it doesn't cost more than national brands at my local grocery stores. It's non-GMO, and has a great texture and flavor. It takes a little longer to cook, but that works since late in life I learned the concept of "sauce the pasta." As in cook the pasta, add it to whatever sauce and then cook both together. The gemelli works great in casseroles, with heavy sauces and makes a fantastic macaroni and cheese!

Fast shipping, fair price and i love not having to carry 5 pounds of pasta home from the store. DeCecco is my favorite dry pasta and i really like the fact that each variety tells you the suggested cooking time. As expected the Farfalle shape is as good as all the rest.

If you haven't tried the DeCecco brand try it-- if it costs more than your usual pasta I think you will agree after eating it that it is worth the higher price.
