I am very pleased with it's size

I just received my silk sleep sack yesterday. I washed it(in a cotton stuff sack) in the washing machine, in cold water and delicate wash. It came out unscathed; I was then inspired to dry it in the dryer, under air only, delicate. It dried in just a few minutes, completely intact! I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews of some sacks ripping and falling apart. I have not slept in it yet, so I can't speak of it's comfort. I am hoping it works well as a sleep sack, and will last awhile. I'll post later, after I try it out. But so far, I am very pleased with it's size, quality of silk, color( blue as shown), portability. I did take the stitching out of the stuff sack, so it's not attached to the sleep sack. It seemed to pull the bag as I re- stuffed it, and could be a problem tearing later.
Very handy, lightweight sleep sack

I was planning a trip to the Himalayas that included a very long hike, then an overnight stay at a remote location. Since my idea of roughing it is slow room service, I thought it best to be prepared. What better way to keep warm while not having to carry much than a silk sleep sack? After much research, I chose this one because it is a double - so either I'd have twice as much coverage or in a pinch, I could share it with my friend, or at least use it over our shoulders.

In the end, the hike got canceled, but I used this item during our long (in one case, 12 hours) meditation sessions. We were in a dark, dusty, very old monastery (cleanliness may be next to Godliness, but that does not seem to be on the priority list for these monasteries), which was a long way up many stairs. I was already oxygen deprived due to the altitude, so I was very happy to have something that weighed virtually nothing to keep me warm and covered. The idea of the meditation was to sit in absolute darkness for the whole day. So when it was completed at the end of the day, the attached bag made it easy to put away the sleep sack - I didn't have to search in the dark for a bag. So while I never got IN it, as a sleep sack, it was very useful to have under, over, and around me.
7 Years of Abuse

I bought this silk liner 7 years ago. I have used it thousands of times, no exaggeration. I used it on every backpacking/hiking trip I went on for years and then from 2012 - 2014 I spent backpacking around the world and used it pretty much every night that whole time. In 2013 in Spain it got a rip in the end which turned into a huge hole. I loved it so much I couldn't throw it away, so I sewed it up and it's been like new since then! It adds about 15 degrees F warmth to any sleeping bag but is also a great bedsheet in hot places (like India or Thailand) where you want to stay as cool as possible while still separating yourself from the bedbugs and mosquitos. Two occasions I can think of that it pretty much saved my life - sleeping on Mt Kenya where it was 15 degrees and all I had was a 40 degree bag this thing kept me toasty all night; and then one time in Malaysia I was sleeping on an island beach from hell where the mosquitos were about as thick as Miami humidity and I didn't have any repellent, long sleeves, sleeping bag, or pretty much anything else. I made a cocoon out of my dear silk liner, propping it up with some sticks in the sand, and kept the swarms out. Oh, and I still can't get over how light and small this thing is! Lighter and smaller than any other travel sack I've seen! I always brag to people about how awesome it is.
Dry clean only defeats its purpose
InthePegJune 11, 2016
Ultralight and comfortable silk fabric, but the largest size is not large enough for our double sleeping bag so it feels tight when used for a couple (unless you're spooning all night) and it's DRY CLEAN only, which really defeats the purpose of using a liner. Had I known, I would not have purchased. Overpriced and essentially useless.
I travel about every other week and stay in hotels ...

I travel about every other week and stay in hotels. This is my second one of these and I would never travel without it. It rolls up into a stuff sack about the size of a soup can and goes right in your luggage. It is part of my ritual when I arrive at my hotel each week, hang up the clothes and put on the sleeping bag. My first one lasted about four years. When you wash it, use a delicate bag. The silk will tear.
