Got way more than I was hoping for- both in terms of quantity and quality. This jar is bigger than you think it is, and the quality is outstanding. I've been using these for making Manhattans and the unique black cherry flavor is crazy good. This is truly a luxury that's well worth the price.

I do not usually write reveiws, but I had to give this product a definite thumbs up! These are the best cherries I have ever tasted! They have a rich cherry flavor unlike that artificial flavor that your average maraschino cherry has. Had one in a whiskey cocktail at the Biltmore Hotel in Puerto Rico. The bartender showed us the container they came in so I immediately checked Amazon for availability. They arrived quickly and we have been enjoying them in cocktails, on ice cream and as a topping for cheesecake!

Tangy sweet black cherries in heavy thick syrup. The preecessor the 'Maraschino Cherry' but with out the flavorings and artificial colors. Make a old fashion using one cherry, a slice of candied orange peal a lump of sugar or equal amount of sugar from simple syrup (more if like it sweeter) and splash of bitters with shot of favorite rye whiskey, bourbon, or other favorite high end whiskey type spirits in high ball glass with large single round or square ice cube. Trust me these cherries are the way to go and the key to kicking cocktails up a notch.

Also great on ice cream topping vanilla and makes the flavor of the best black cherry ice cream. Some great potential for homemade black cherry ice cream from these cherries and syrup.

I was going to use these for Brandy Old Fashions, but now I muddle them in a frosted glass and pour Dr.Pepper over the top. YUM! Will get the bigger jar on next purchase.
