So I previously had a Lifetime basketball System that lasted for 16 years out in the California sun and heat before I even had to replace the net. Then the backboard cracked. It was cost prohibitive to repair so I chose to replace it with this model. Does not seem as durable as my 2002 model, but time will tell. Regarding assembly, I did it by myself in about 2 hrs. Read every detail and proceed slowly. The illustrations are small so I even used a magnifying glass at certain points to make sure. Treat the assembly like a marathon and not a sprint and you will be fine.

Great basket ball hoop. I convinced my neighbor to buy the same one and the kods play full court on our street. Great price. Only problem was that my box came with a dent in it which went through to the backboard and scuffed it. Amazon was great to me and gave me a credit that was worth keeping it so I'm very happy about that. Love it.

Solid, quality product, arrived on time, well-packaged, and no parts missing.
Directions are not as bad as some claim, but you need to either enlarge them or wear reading glasses and look closely.
The part numbers are pretty accurate, and the diagrams DO have the details if you really look closely before each new step.
Also of note, spread the cardboard boxes out and assemble on there to keep the backboard face from scratching.
I don't know how one person could easily assemble this. I guess it is possible, but I had 3 teenagers help me, and at one point all 4 of us were holding up parts of the assembly and tapping in screws.
Once it's up, it plays AWESOME. Would definitely buy again and recommend too.

If you like a bit of a challenge this was fun to build. It only took and hour and made for fun bonding with family. The overall product is well made, and we love the spring loaded hoop. The Height adjustment could be simpler to use, but really once the kids are growing its not like your moving the hoop down.
