Nothing could be easier to install in order to increase the capacity of your canoe. It works great, fits well and holds tight. I see no need to remove it, ever.

Used on an Old Town 158.
Pros:Holds my kid as intended, easy removal.
Cons: buckles somewhat under my 230lb weight (advertised as holding 300lbs), edges are cut uneven (shoddy crafsmanship), falls out if flipped over (fell on my car while tied to the roof rack).
I bought it primarily for a kids' seat, but also wanted to use it as a solo seat. There's not enough leg room or support for me to use as a solo seat.
This is a piece of plastic that couldn't have cost more than $5 to make. Price should be around $35 plus shipping.
