I asked the question "Q:Ingredients? To those sying it's only licoice root extract, that doesn't explain the solid mass, indicating a grain. This isn't bottled juice, folks."

I was wrong. The images don't do it justice. Perhaps a description of the item as hard snap beads, like hard candy, might help, I don't know. The flavor and medicinal quality are undeniably high quality, and it grows on you! I would sooner treat it as medicine, or use it in a sweetened tea, or turn it into icing if I wanted the candy quality; but if you don't like a lot of sweet, it's still good for that, as it is quite sweet. It does have a molasses hint to it, so it's a slightly bitterness, but I delight in them, and it's certainly gonna take longer to get through than the Australian soft chew ones I got!

This is The BEST PLACE to go for pure organic licorice which, offers many health benefits. This company is right here in the USA doing an incredible job of providing a product that ironically, famous author "Anthony William" of "Life Changing Foods"pages 206 &207 (Available here on AMAZON) describes as: Quote: "Licorice root is a savior. It is the most important herb of today's world, the camel to carry you through the desert of chronic illness.......the ultimate weapon against the viral explosion." This Zot Licorice comes in a very small box; one tiny pellet is a pleasant, powerful, and just enough for "what to start with" amount. When I read how valuable Organic Licorice is for experiencing positive results for a multitude of areas in the body, I thought "it's worth a try". I didn't expect to have such a profound and immediate response.

As one who would much rather have fast miraculous results from anything, I decided to really pay attention to the caution of
"start slow with only one pellet". I was glad I did because the result was a very pleasant, yet powerful one. My digestion improvement was shocking and I am monitoring my progress for a large amount of other health related areas. I can honestly say, "read the book" and slowly absorb all the

Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love them. The mint is very detectable, and blends well with the strong licorice taste. If your taste buds are attuned to offbeat flavors, then you might like this. People who want CANDY might not enjoy this as much as I do. THERE ARE NO ARTIFICIAL OR NATURAL SWEETNERS - just the taste of pure mint and licorice.

Another thing I like about this product is that it makes a really effective cough suppressant. Since I am diabetic and suffer from frequent colds, this takes the place of sugary cough drops that ultimately leave me sicker. I have a large supply for this purpose, because it is the only losenge that relieves a cough without the added problems of sugar or artificial sweeteners.

One note about the price: I purchased this item because it was cheaper than a similar product by Zagarese Licorice, but when it arrived, I realized that these little boxes are about 1/2 the size of the Zagarese Licorice. Zagarese is a better bargain, and is almost exactly the same product. It was my own fault for not closely reading the ads, but an unpleasant surprise all the same. Next time I will buy Zagarese (which is also available on Amazon)! Zagarese is very similar to Zot, but one difference is that Zot has a stronger mint taste. Otherwise, they are almost exactly the same.

Quality product, real licorice. If you like real licorice like the ancient Egyptians had it, this is for you. It redefines candy. For those who are sugar addicts, this won't give you your fix.

I've tried American, swedish, salt, sweet, European licorice etc. So I thought I had an idea of what pure licorice tasted like. Boy was I wrong! It's a coffee and bitter taste. Nothing at all like the root beer flavor I expected. But I can't stop eating these little gems that is until my mouth says stop.
