Genius Design

This litterbox is perfect for my 16-year-old cat who started having issues getting her whole self into her old litterbox , so was peeing outside the box sometimes. She has arthritis and I think the high sides were making it harder for her to use it as intended. This box has three high sides and a nice easy entry at the front with a tiny step. Occasionally she still pees on the front, but its curved design means it is concentrated right in front and the ribbed litter catcher I have underneath it means it's concentrated in one place for easy clean up. It is hollow behind the curved front edge, so that makes clean up easier, as well. Her "mistakes" have been greatly minimized by this box, and we are both very pleased.
Built well but my cats do not like it.

Nice design and I thought I was doing my older cats a favor with this new litter box. They like it O.K. It sees very little traffic. The cat litter has to come out of the back of it for cleaning purposes. Not a big deal but there are easier boxes to empty for cleaning. It is sturdy and made well with nice side grips. I'm not knocking the quality. Cats are picky & they like what they like. This was expensive as far as litter boxes go & not an overall hit. If they liked it I would award 4 stars with the hold out star being for challenges in emptying used litter. On the up side (funny enough) my older girl uses the front ledge to wipe her bum LOL!!
Curved Corners Stink

Expensive litter box and nothing but a pain to clean. The corners (where my cats like to pee) are curved, so this doesn't work for us. Also, purchased mainly for my 18 year-old with arthritis so he would stop going outside of the box. The front is, in fact, low compared to a generic litter box. However, the front of the box is made like a ramp. The spanned distance for him to get from the floor to the inside of the box is 3 inches in distance. Add that to the height of the front and he can't make it. Just doesn't work for my cats...

I have four cats, including one senior and one who tends to miss the box sometimes. This litter pan is fantastic for all of them. The low front and wide rim let my senior cat walk in and out comfortably. The higher back and overall size let my awkward one keep it all in the box. My little digger (like ten minutes of digging each visit) now just does her thing without flinging litter forever.
I have two other basic high sided boxes in another room but all the cats obviously prefer this one. It cleans up easily (even in my humid bathroom) and, surprisingly, has less tracking and scattered litter around it despite the lower entrance. I'll be replacing my other boxes with more of these as they wear out.

My cats love this! I bought this for my older cat as she seems to have trouble getting into the litter box now. I have 2 other cats that can use the other litter boxes with no problem. Now my problem is they ALL want to use this litter box and not the others. This litter box is easy to clean which is a plus! The only drawback is that I have one cat that likes to "dig" to China and she gets litter everywhere outside the box, but since my older cat can get into this box I will have call this an even trade off.
