I absolutely love this. I had purchased a plastic one from Home Depot that was a lot more difficult to take apart and fill. Then when i would fill it, I had to tilt it hang it back on and all the liquid would fall out. By getting this one, I just hook it and dont have to tilt it whatsover. Im a lover of neutral colors tho, but I understand the red probably attracts the hummingbirds more than a 100% clear one would

Having refilled this twice, it is my favorite. I have the fancier cone with yellow flowers as well. Placed them a few feet from each other and they use both. The other you have to take inside, dump out remaining nectar to refill. Not this on, just take the top off. No mess no problems, great feeder.

This was a gift for my Mom but after setting it up for her and refilling it, I'm going to get one for myself. My Mom asks for a feeder that could be put in the dishwasher and was easy to use. This is the one! It is easy to fill, easy to clean and the birds just fight over it. She is very pleased and so am I. High quality design, materials and construction.

I bought this and a competitor's comparably sized/designed feeder for my backyard. The Cornell Ornithology Lab writes that two feeders, spaced at least some distance apart, might minimize the effects of hummingbird aerial 'dogfights' over food sources. Mine are both in the shade on opposite sides of the yard - and both are in use by the hummers in our neighborhood. This feeder is easy to clean, and its horizontal shape, rather than the upside down hanging variety, is also recommended by the Lab to minimize seepage and and ant/bee congregations. Don't forget to change your liquid feed frequently in these hot summer months. Doing so minimizes the chance of spoilage and danger to the birds. I make up a pitcher's worth and store the excess in the fridge for future use.
