I have had a pair of Shearcutters from xcelite for years. After lots of damage it was time to replace, Just as pleased with this replacement as i was the original.

We like these Xcelite cutters. They aren't the absolute best quality but they work well and they are cheap enough to just replace when they fail. No problems cutting up to 12 AWG solid wire as long as you don't squeeze too hard. You can snap the jaws off if you squeeze them too hard.
The pliers in this set are decent. Similar quality to the cutters with stronger jaws. We haven't used them much but they seem fine.

I am teaching my ten year old granddaughter basic electronics. I have these tools myself, and find them great for small circuit board work. I bought my granddaughter her own set, and they are ideal for her. The shearcutter is ground very precisely, and can even cut threads. It cuts flush to the board, unlike standard diagonal cutters. Also, the small needle nose pliers are great for fine work. The quality of these tools is excellent.

Well made works good. I work on computers and this is a good set for that purpose. I did eventually break a tip on the shear, wonder if there is a lifetime warranty? All in all I would recommend this set.
