Don't waste your money.

Despite the great reviews I read, this product did not work for my rear windshield.
Recently, I ran my rear wiper without knowing my blade had fallen off (most likely at the car wash). It left a lovely rainbow etch in my glass. This product claims to help make the scratch better, but honestly, I see absolutely no change. My scratch does not seem too deep. I did run my finger over the scratch to feel it's depth in the glass
I watched the video tutorial and read the instruction pamphlet. I am definitely dissatisfied with this Amazon purchase. Oh, well! Can't win them all.

Works. Just amazing.

Amazing product. I was parked in a Marriott underground parking lot and some kind of acid dripped on my windshield. It came through in a crack in the cement above my car. I tried soap, windex, toothpaste, and elbow grease. Nothing worked. You could feel that the glass was etched by the acid with your fingernail. I got the kit and couldn't wait to try it. It was cool and a slight drizzle of mist in the air. I put a small amount of compound on an old sweatshirt rag and started rubbing in a circular motion. It took me 3 minutes to get the affected area polished by hand no drill buffing. Worked perfectly. Worth ever penny for this product. Instructions are very easy to understand.
Good product pad to small
SuzyQ57•May 28, 2017
This is a nice little kit but its too small of a sanding pad to do a windshield, and holding a heavy cordless drill over the windshield makes it a very long job, so I just use the small pad for side mirrors and side windows. I switched over to my 5 inch orbital sander with a wool pad and that made the job so much easier and faster, my windshield came out clear. It too over 30 minutes, just to do a third of the windshield but I know to just use the 5 inch, I gave this a 4 star because the sanding pad is too small.
Works great on minor scratches

I bought this to try on side window scratches that were from running windows up and down for 14 years in the dust of Arizona. My driver's door window was so fogged up that I could barely see anything in the side mirror. 30 minutes later and at least 95% of the scratches are gone. The remainder is barely noticeable and not worth the time to try to get out of a 14 year old truck. The instructions that come with the kit have a website link to repair demonstrations that are well worth watching. I thought they were faked until I used the kit and saw the results on my own truck. The only down side I have is that my hand drill got so hot that I didn't want to continue with doing the passenger window until after it cooled down. Had no problem with the glass getting too hot, kept checking it as recommended and it was barely warm. I will definitely buy more pads and polish when I need to do this on more glass.
More work than anticipated like many things but worth it for sure!

Tried skeptically but it worked great, i had like 3 inch archs in my VW jetta, 1 inch center was deeper, i got alot of glare at night.
I spent possibly 4 hours working my windshield, but taking brakes, it gets tiring holding that drill against the glass plus you arent supposed to warm it up so much, i did reps of 2-3 min and rested 2-3 min.
final results were noticeable, 2 inch shallower scratches are now not visible at all, and deeper 1 inch is noticeable only if I really pay attention at night, and that is very few scratches, i guess the most deepest.
will give a second pass on the whole windshield just to clean it up real nice. would recommend.
additional notes:
-the polish cream is more than i expected, i used like 10% for the whole job and I am overshooting it. enough to spare for the next occasion.
-i recommend marking your work area from the inside of the windshield just so you know where to run the pads more extensively.
-I covered my car in newspaper to avoid splashing when you rise the drill from the glass.
-you should really get the whole pad surface on the glass and with a fair amount of pressure (start soft and work your way up as you feel how the drill is going to work with the pad)so its a smooth rotation otherwise it kinda dances around on you it is more tiring and not efficient repairing.
