Great taste, easy to make, too expensive

I do not eat sugar. I am also lactose intolerant. When the household has pie with instant puddings or cake; I long for something too. Most "sugar-free" products us alcohol-based sugars like Maltitol, Sorbital, Xylitol, Erythritol. "Natural" sweets often use Stevia or "organic cane" sugar or sweetener or syrup (SUGAR!) Sucralose (often brand name: Splenda) and Aspartame (common brand Nutrasweet) never became too widely used (except Aspartame is in diet soda pop. According to Canadian studies Aspartame can cause brain lesions or something like that. My brain has enough problems! Whole Foods approved Erithrtol/Xylotol but it has the same miserable laxative effect as the other alcohol-based sugars do. I do like and use Sucolose regularly and lately have found and am experimenting with Monk Fruit Sugar, a totally natural not bitter (like Stevia) plant-based sweetener. In some things, I detect a "bloom" in my mouth at the end of a bite with Monk Fruit Sweetener. As I am typing this review, I no longer have the box for the Lime Pie and can't recall if it has milk or what sweetener but It did not make me uncomfortable or sick in any way and it tasted delicious. Its just that it is way too expensive for me and I am directing my household to experiment with homemade foods more often so I do not think I will try this again. If you miss Key Lime Pie, like I sometimes do; you should try this. I will warn you that the color is a surprising yellow rather than a chartreuse!
good

Used product to make key lime pie for diabetic family. It was good, however, it could have more of a lime flavor.
I had to “doctor†this a little.

The first packet made a mousse that held its shape, but had very little lime flavor. Then I read the reviews again and learned several buyers thought the same thing, So when I made the second packet, I added 1/2 tbsp of citric acid and 1tbsp of xxxx powdered sugar. It was very good. I also used a little less milk than it called for to help it hold its shape, which it did.
Tasty

I made key lime mousse the first time I used it. You get four ten ounce bowls with 1 packet and there are two packets per box so it's a good value. Tastes great and no artificial sugar aftertaste. I'm sure it will make a great pie filling once I get around to it.
Good value for the money

Overall good value for money. My husband is diabetic and has craved key lime pie for years. This hit the spot. He did say it could have had a little more tartness to it.
