I used this telescope as part of my proposal to my fiance, who is obsessed with the moon. Neither of us has owned a telescope before, but the set up was pretty straight forward. The tripod is terrible. It wasnt stable, and didnt hold position well. The telescope itself was great for our skill level, and she said 'yes' so it worked for my purposes.
