I used this to extend the reach of a 2 1/2" hole saw through a bunch of 2 X 4 studs in a wall to relocate sink drain line without removing any drywall.

Well made and has two set screws to keep the auger in place. It does not ship with a hex wrench and requires either a 3mm or 7/64 hex wrench for the set screws.
Drawback to its use is the 7/8" diameter of the shaft where it attaches to the auger. For pass through drilling a auger bit needs to be 1" or larger in diameter.
