Excellent quality, poor design

When these are open, the emery board is out. It's slightly in the way when you clip your nails, also there's a tiny ring right near the place you apply pressure to clip a nail. The traditional style of nail clipper where the emery board rotates on one end is much better, easier to handle and feels better in the hand. Also, to close the clippers for storage requires pressing the blades together much harder than you would to cut a nail, I can't help but think that's going to dull the edges eventually. The tip for cleaning under the fingernails is rounded at the corners which reduces its effectiveness. On the plus side, these are the sharpest nail clippers I've ever used, and the emery board is large and very effective. I would prefer these to other clippers because of the quality, the design flaws are very small complaints that won't bother most people.

Best clipper to have on person all the time. All it's missing was a bottle opener, but I have other things in the car for that purpose. This can do it all, from clipping the beard, to clipping the nails, to pulling off ticks, to pulling splinters, to getting food out of your teeth, to filing your nails, to cutting fruit when on the road. This does it all. Quality swiss steel. What else could you need?

Very high quality. It doesn't seem like it would be a useful item to have on you all the time but it is. Nail clippers can do more than just nails. A lose string on your cloths, fishing line just to name a few. The tool also has a small knife blade, nail file and scissors.

Well-made nail clipper that is a large step up from the chain-drugstore variety. The cutting edges are sharp, precisely aligned, and cut cleanly; and the nail file has finer and more sharply defined "teeth" I expected. The end of the nail file has a shaped end that the packaging says is a screwdriver, but the edges are so rounded (to avoid injury I would guess) that the tool would not be a very effective screwdriver. It would make more sense to shape the end so it could be used as a nail cleaner. But this is a side issue. The clipper and file are what matter, and they are excellent.

Victorinox has another awesome knife under there belt with this, what a great idea. It is small and lite, I just love it. The nail clippers are sharp and work great, I like the little lock that keeps it inside the handle. It also has the nail file, blade and the scissors are different than my other Swiss army knifes but works great. Perfect for my collection, I will use the nail clippers often. Great price, Cant go wrong with any Victorinox product.
