Cheap metal housing

I used this motor to replace a failed motor Oct 2016. It lasted about 9 months and the motor failed. $100 mistake. Avoid.
Perfect fit for Carrier HRV

This motor is a direct-fit replacement for my horizontally-mounted Carrier VA3B Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) which was installed ca. 1999-2001. All screw holes line up perfectly. Shaft length and diameter are exactly the same. Rotation is the same. Same colored wires. You have to splice the wires to your existing connectors.
I recommend replacing the capacitor when you replace the motor.

I had to replace a 20 year old motor. Shipping was fast, arrived sooner than expected . . . packaging was excellent. Motor installation was easy, fit perfectly. Only had to transfer the old power connector to the new motor wires.
