OK but Disappointed in the Effort to Use It

I agree with the other reviews that the unit is lightweight and can be tough to keep flat, or close to flat, on the bottom of the pool. If the unit is not laying close to the bottom of the pool, it will not be effective in picking up debris. I found that pushing the hose to the bottom of the pool and getting it to lay flat helped, but then it was a little harder to push the unit since you had to push all of the hose in the pool with it. You almost need to use two hands or have someone help and move the unit and the hose at the same time. The unit seemed to do great at not only picking up big leaves but also smaller debris. I just wish it was a little easier to use. And I didn't have any trouble with the micro leaf bag staying on. In the end, I decided it was no easier to use this than my built-in pool vacuum which has more suction capability. I don't mind the debris going into my filter since only the smaller stuff will get through and I regularly clean my cartridge filter.

My pool was 100% disgusting and FULL of leaves and algae. I was so beyond amazed at how easy this was to use and how well it cleaned my pool. I was able to do in minutes what would have taken me hours with just a net. I've used it 4 times now and it still continues to work just as well. The suction was so strong it pulled up a big frog that had gotten into my pool lol

Not a very good vacuum. This uses your water hose to create suction and has an attached net that catches the debris. The suction created is not very strong so it misses larger particles like leaves. The mesh of the net is such that smaller particles that do get sucked in go right back out. I tried attaching a tighter knit net. I used one of the stocking type filter basket inserts. This helped a little by not allowing the smaller stuff to escape but the poor auction issue remained. You can also flip this upside down to skim the top of the water but, of course, the same problems occur. Besides these issues, this uses your water hose so as you vacuum the pool is filling with water. That's a problem if your pool is already full. I gave this a two star because it was as described, it was intact and undamaged on arrival, and arrived on the expected delivery date. But this is an ineffective means to do routine vacuuming of a pool.

Poolmaster got all of last years leaves out of the bottom of the pool very quickly and painlessly. I did add a tennis ball to the inside of the bag as another reviewer suggested to keep the bag vertical while sucking leaves up.
