Work great!

These are a simple solution for adding anchor points to the front of a vehicle. Just remove fender bolts, mount these and replace the bolts. The grommets on the pair I received are actually farther from the end than shown in the picture. Length is good, providing about a 5 inch loop above the hood. Have only done a test tie down of a kayak, so do not know if these will mar the paint at the edge of the hood over time. I plan to remove these after trips/season rather than subject to harsh under hood environment for long periods of time.
What a great product!

Why did I not know about these sooner? I saw these on a YouTube video about loading kayaks on your automobile. I'd never seen them before and wanted to try them. Oh. My. Gosh! How much easier can it get? No more trying to find a place to secure the yaks on the front of the car. I installed them using an existing bolt under the hood and they tuck under the hood when not in use. Love love love them! Now all my kayaking friends want them too.
Awesome

I had no idea that you could do this. I am always putting boats on my car. Having two contact points on the front of the boat to prevent the boat from oscillating is really important. I have been fumbling with straps that go around the bumper to the car underbelly and these are so much better. Cars generally have frame bolts just inside the hood that provides a very sturdy strap point. I haven't seen any damage to the car paint where the strap touches. I could see if you used a heavy duty strap that it could vibrate and knick the paint, but that hasn't happened to me.
Nice, didn't have any good options to hook onto before

Before I bought this I looked under my hood and had plenty of bolts I could put these on. Worked well, as the only places in the front I've found to hook on are made of plastic on my car.
Great hood loops at a decent price!

These work perfect. We use them to tie down the bow of our kayaks.
